Thailand's Sahamongkolfilm International Co Ltd สหมงคลฟิล์ม อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล has picked up world sales rights to its first non-Thai film, new Singaporean horror film 23:59.

Directed by Gilbert CHAN 陳啓全 陈啓全, the film tells the story of a mysterious murder that happened in 1983 in an army camp.

The film goes on release today. After three days of previews that earned S$110,000 or 12,000 admissions, it looks set to do open strongly at the Singapore box office for co-distributors Clover Films Pte Ltd and Golden Village Pictures Pte Ltd. Previews were held on 21 prints with just 4 sessions per location

The film was produced by Clover Films, Gorylah Pictures, Innoform Media, mm2 Entertainment Sdn Bhd, Passion Entertainment Sdn Bhd and Grand Brilliance Sdn Bhd.

Its cast is headed by Singapore's Mark LEE 李國煌 李国煌 and features a large crew of youngsters including Henley Hii, Tedd Chan, Lawrence Koh, Josh Lai and Tommy Kuan.
